Your school's data stays in your school.
EduCore runs on a server the school controls. This page explains exactly what is stored, where it lives and who can see it.
📦What EduCore stores
Student names, classes and guardians; attendance records; quiz and course progress; school notices; election votes (anonymised — ballots are never linked to a student's name in results). No national IDs, no payment data, no biometric data.
🇺🇬Where it lives
Everything sits in one database on the school's own server. Nothing is synced to a cloud service, analytics platform or third-party API. The platform works fully offline, so data cannot leave even when the internet is up.
🤖The AI Study Buddy is local
The Study Buddy runs on a language model installed on the school server itself. Questions students ask are answered on that machine and are not sent to OpenAI, Google or any external provider — there is no API key in the system at all.
🔐Who sees what
Access is role-gated: students see their own classes and progress; parents see only their own children; teachers see their classes; school administrators see school-wide records. Every admin action requires a signed-in, capability-checked account.
🗂️Retention & control
The school owns the database outright. Records can be exported or deleted by the school administration at any time — there is no vendor lock-in and no external party to petition.
